Canadians were shocked into the realities of the drug distribution market in February 2012 as a result of Sandoz’s halting production of injectable medicines. After a flurry of activity to find alternate suppliers, the immediate crisis seems to be waning. However, drug shortages continue to happen that affect a large number of patients and affecting our health system efficiency.
